GE IS200EXAMG1AAB Exciter Attenuation Module
IS200EXAMG1AAB is an excitation attenuation module designed and manufactured by General Electric (GE). It belongs to the EX2100 series and is used in excitation turbine control systems. It works with the excitation grounding detection module to form the grounding detection system of the EX2100 excitation control system. It is installed in the high voltage interface (HVI) module of the auxiliary cabinet to reduce the bridge high voltage and provide attenuation between the fieldbus and EGDM.
- Connection and configuration: Connect to the excitation power backplane (EPBP) through a 9-pin cable, and the EGDM is connected to the EPBP through a 96-pin P2 connector. The single module is suitable for simplex and TMR configurations, and the connection method is the same.
- Voltage range: Supports field voltages (Vbus + and Vbus−) of 125-1000V dc, and AC line voltages of 120-1300V ac rms.
- Filter capacitors: Two filter capacitors can be selected by jumpers JP1 and JP2, which are respectively suitable for PPT voltages less than 750V rms and greater than 750V rms.
- Functional collaboration: The EGDM manages the field ground test and master selection by controlling the relay on the EXAM. The relay is de-energized by default and feeds back to the M1 part of the TMR control; when energized, it feeds back to the M2 part.
- TMR configuration: The three EGDMs are set as controller, master 1, and master 2, respectively, and are automatically configured through the 96-pin P2 connector of the EPBP. The DSPX board informs the EGDM C of the master device information, and the EGDM C controls the EXAM relay status accordingly, activates the signal generator of the corresponding master device and selects the test command source. The master device sends a 50V AC square wave signal to the EXAM to the detection resistor.
