The IS200EXAMG1AAB is an excitation attenuation module designed and manufactured by General Electric (GE) for the EX2100 series. This module is essential for excitation turbine control systems, working in conjunction with the excitation grounding detection module to form the grounding detection system of the EX2100 excitation control system. It is installed in the high voltage interface (HVI) module of the auxiliary cabinet to reduce bridge high voltage and provide attenuation between the fieldbus and EGDM.
- Connection and configuration: Connects to the excitation power backplane (EPBP) via 9-pin cable, with EGDM connected through 96-pin P2 connector. Suitable for both simplex and TMR configurations.
- Voltage range: Supports field voltages (Vbus + and Vbus−) of 125-1000V DC, and AC line voltages of 120-1300V AC RMS.
- Filter capacitors: Two selectable filter capacitors via jumpers JP1 and JP2, suitable for PPT voltages below or above 750V RMS.
- Functional collaboration: EGDM manages field ground test and master selection by controlling EXAM relay, which feeds back to M1 or M2 parts of TMR control.
- TMR configuration: Three EGDMs configured as controller, master 1, and master 2 through EPBP's 96-pin P2 connector, with DSPX board coordinating master device information.
