Triconex 3664 Dual Digital Output (DDO) Module
The Triconex 3664 is a Dual Digital Output (DDO) module engineered for safety-critical control applications where cost efficiency and functional safety are paramount. It utilizes a 2-out-of-3 voting process per output switch to ensure reliable operation while incorporating dual-redundant circuitry for essential fault tolerance. The module features voltage-loopback diagnostics to independently verify each output switch, even without a load, and triggers LOAD/FUSE alarms when discrepancies are detected. Continuous diagnostics monitor all channels and circuits, activating a Fault indicator and chassis alarm in the event of failures. While the module can withstand most single faults and some multiple faults, stuck-Off conditions may cause output interruption and potential glitches during hot-spare switchover.
