The GE IS420UCSCS2A is a Dual Core Controller Module from the Mark VIeS Series, engineered for GE Distributed Control Systems. This safety-focused controller executes Mark VIeS Safety applications to support functional safety loops, achieving SIL 2 and 3 capabilities essential for risk reduction in safety-instrumented systems (SIS).

- Redundancy & Flexibility: Supports simplex, dual, and TMR configurations with expandable I/O (7 additional ports) via IONet, PROFINET, and HSSL
- Robust Design: DIN-rail mounted with no batteries, fans, or jumpers; operates in -40°C to 70°C with over-temperature protection
- Memory & Power: 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM, 128 GB storage; operates on 18-32 VDC
- Compliance: Meets IEC 61508 standards for industrial safety systems
Ideal for wind turbines, gas/steam turbines, and combined-cycle power plants, this controller features automatic recovery options (shutdown at 95°C/107°C with auto-reboot or power cycle recovery). Currently in active production with 3-7 day repair options, it's U.S.-made and supported by ControlST V07.02 software and manual GEI-100867A.
