Product Description
The GE IS215VPROH2B is a Turbine Protection Board in the Mark VI Speedtronic gas turbine control system, central to the independent emergency overspeed protection system. Part of a triple-redundant setup with R8, S8, T8 boards, it works with TPRO and TREG terminal boards to control trip solenoids, ensuring turbine safety.
Designed for emergency overspeed protection and emergency stops, it features three analog current inputs and nine thermocouples primarily for exhaust over-temperature monitoring. Each board operates independently, allowing hot-swap replacement without system disruption. It connects to six speed pickups and uses VME for programming, with isolated backplanes to maintain redundancy.
