GE IS200EGDMH1ADE Exciter Ground Detector Module
Product Details:
The GE IS200EGDMH1ADE is an Exciter Ground Detector Module designed to monitor generator field circuits for ground faults. It detects leakage resistance between any point in the circuit AC or DC and ground, identifying potential safety hazards or system integrity risks.
In simplex configurations, a single module suffices.Redundant setups use three modules for enhanced reliability, ensuring continuous fault detection. The module interfaces with the EXAM (EXcitation AMplifier) module via a specialized nine-conductor cable. The EXAM, housed in the High Voltage Module of the Auxiliary Panel, acts as an attenuator, sensing voltage across the ground sense resistor to facilitate precise fault detection.
Feature:
Field Ground Detection: The main function is to detect the field leakage resistance between any point in the generator field circuit and the ground, covering both the AC and DC sides of the circuit, and is intended to identify abnormal leakage that may pose a safety hazard or affect system integrity.
EXAM Module Interaction: The ground detection module cooperates with the excitation amplifier module. The EXAM module acts as an attenuator to detect the voltage across the ground detection resistor. The voltage signal is transmitted through a dedicated nine-core cable; the EXAM module is located in the high-voltage module of the auxiliary panel.
